Fieldwork Refection!

                                     

   Howdy! I am now finished with fieldwork so I am able to reflect on my experience! I absolutely love the cooperating teacher Mrs.S. She has given me so much advice throughout this process that I will always be super grateful for it! I loved hearing her feedback and applying it to the next lesson. I also had a really great experience with my group. We all collaborated together very nicely. We were able to give corrections and work together to create a dynamite lesson. I think that we were all very respectful of each other and ideas which made our group work. I think the students could tell that we were a good group because we were a united front and seemed very organized. 

Now for the students. They were such a joy to work with. They were always very enthusiastic (especially when playing Kahoot). They would be engaged in the lesson and answer questions correctly about the lesson prior. They really understood our lesson by the time we were done teaching which was super cool to see. 

I also learned that not everything always goes directly to plan. I feel that since we have one plan does not mean it is always going to run that way. We need to make sure that we always have a backup plan handy to make a smooth transition back to the central focus. 

Some of the new strategies and tools I have learned I will be taking with me. I definitely have fallen even more in love with this profession from this experience. I can't wait to become a teacher of my own classroom one day and I am so grateful for this experience.
