What Do These Paintings Mean?

These paintings give me an idea that they were made about history. They might have been made at a time when there were a lot of people that were being taken care of. It seems to be that women were the center of the home. Cooking, taking care of their children and praying at church. It also seems to be a time when men were working outside of the home (picture 3). It seems to represent the older way of doing things. Times now are more modern and some women are at a hard-working jobs while men hold down the fort at home. I personally do not know any of the histories of these paintings but if you know I would love to hear them below!
